Gothenburg’s rail investments pay off

2019 container volumes at the Port of Gothenburg rose for the second year in succession. Container freight from the whole of Sweden is being increasingly channelled to the Port of Gothenburg by rail. In total, 456,000 TEU were transported through the port by rail – this is the largest rail volume in the port’s 400-year history.
