Fire erupted on board of general cargo ship AVENTADOR, anchored at Batu Ampar anchorage, Batam island, Indonesia, Singapore Strait, in the morning Dec 15. One of generators exploded at around 0730 LT, followed by fire, which spread around superstructure. Tugs and firefighters were deployed, fire was extinguished, 5 crew on board safe. The ship’s in ballast, anchored at Batu Ampar since July.
