First LNG Bunkering Carried Out at ‘Major Industrial’ Port

  • First LNG ship-to-ship bunkering operation at the port of Emden was performed for Volkswagen’s Siem Confucius.
  • Approximately 1,500 metric tonnes of LNG was delivered from LNG-powered bunker vessel Engie Zeebrugge onto the deep sea car carrier.

Germany’s largest operator of public seaports Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co said the first liquified natural gas (LNG) ship-to-ship bunkering operation at the port of Emden was performed for Volkswagen’s Siem Confucius, reports Manifold Times.
