NYK Joins International Assessment Project For Decarbonization Of Marine Fuels

Sakura Leader, which entered the NYK fleet last month, is the first LNG-fueled PCTC to be built in Japan

On May 12, NYK began participating in a new project for the purpose of conducting technical, economical, and environmental assessments for the decarbonization of marine fuels used on already existing vessels.

This project is a cross-sector international project of the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, a research institute that has NYK as one of its founding partners.
