ONE introduces enhanced India – UAE connection

The Singapore-based shipping consortium, Ocean Network Express (ONE), has announced an improved connection between India and the United Arab Emirates. 

A new weekly India Gulf Service (IGS) has been developed to provide a quicker and more stable connection to its customers and to cover the rising trade demand between the two countries which has been boosted by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) since May 2022.

New service to further improve liner connectivity at Dammam

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the inclusion of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam in the recently launched Shaheen Express shipping service operated by container carrier Maersk between the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Subcontinent.

The latest initiative is set to enhance the Gulf Cost port’s connectivity, linking King Abdulaziz Port to major regional hubs such as Jebel Ali, Mundra and Pipavav aboard the containership Big Dog, which has a carrying capacity of 1,740 TEU.
