ABB and GNV complete chiller optimisation project for La Suprema ferry

ABB and Italian shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) have completed the first chiller optimisation project for the La Suprema ferry.

The project involved the retrofit of a technology that optimises the performance of chillers used for heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems on ferries.

Torm and Inatech to develop Smart Trader app for shipping companies

Tanker company Torm has partnered with Glencore subsidiary Inatech to develop the new ‘Smart Trader’ app to tackle the anticipated complex bunkering landscape in shipping after 2020.

Torm has also provided input on the app’s design.

Using Smart Trader, shipping companies will be able to map their complete fleet of ships and visualise best routes according to sea and port conditions.
