Bunker sales in Panama Canal fall by 20%

The bunker sales in the Panama Canal decreased by 20.1% in comparison to the same period last year. Specifically, an overall of 723.894 metric tonnes of marine fuel was sold, on the contrary to the 905.444 mt that was sold in 2018.

Mainly, fuel oil held the majority of bunker sales.

About 652.179 mt of the residual grade were sold, compared to 71.715 mt of marine diesel oil (MDO).

On January and February 2019, the total of 513.082 mt of marine fuel oil was sold on the Pacific side of the Canal.
