Tanker runs aground in Greek waters

A small tanker ran aground in the morning hours of Saturday, in a rocky shallow, while underway at the Aegean Sea, near the port of Gavrio, Andros Island, Greece,  according to information provided by the Hellenic Coast Guard.

The 1,000 dwt ‘Agios Georgios I’ had sailed from Andros to the port of Skyros, with eight national crew members and two national passengers, loaded with 455.46 cubic meters of gasoline and 428.29 cubic meters of diesel oil.

There were no reports of injury or marine...
