The VO Chidambaranar (VOC) Port in Tuticorin has surpassed the previous financial year’s container volume of 6.97 lakh TEUs on Wednesday. Two days later the number of TEUs crossed 7.03 lakh with an increase of 6.46% over the corresponding period in 2017-2018.
Port authorities hope to climb in the third position in container handling among the 12 major ports in India.
