Norwegian Arctic coast busy on natural gas tankers

An overall of 14 LNG carriers crowded at loading and reloading facilities in northern Norway on January 16. The number of the vessels reflects the busy days both Honningsvåg and Hammerfest,  two towns located along the coast of the Barents Sea. are experiencing.

Mainly, six tankers conducted ship-to-ship reloading of LNG in the Sarnes Fjord by Honningsvåg.

The STS is the biggest operation of its kind that took place in the area, as local STS operations started in late November 2018.
